The ArgO Medical Education Programme is designed to support orthopaedic Registrars throughout their training years. ArgO connects members to a number of educational resources including worldwide Fellowship opportunities, courses and to key opinion leaders. Membership of the Programme is free and is open to all orthopaedic Registrars in the United Kingdom and the rest of the world.

The ArgO Medical Education Programme is led by a key group of orthopaedic surgeons from around the UK. This Steering Group meets quarterly to provide guidance to the design, operation and functionality of the Programme.

The fellowship is in arthroplasty - both of the hip and knee and includes revision work
The posts start at Stoke Mandeville (for six months) and moves on to Stanmore (for six months), next available starts February 2009.

The Fellow presents all new patients, case history, examination findings and management plan to Mr Webb. The Fellow observes the complete patient episode from first consultation, surgery and follow up. Ample opportunity to assist and perform in theatre under supervision.

Clinical Fellowship Foot and Ankle Fellowship

Aims of Fellowship: Post-graduate education in Foot and Ankle covering all areas of foot and ankle surgery, including trauma, elective reconstruction, neuropathic foot and ankle and sports medicine including arthroscopy. Ideal opportunity for research.


Cardiff Hip Fellowship

UK

Speciality: Othopaedics and Trauma
Aims of Fellowship: Advanced Clinical Fellowship in Adult Hip Surgery. Exposure to Resurfacing, Primary, Complex Primary and Revision Hip Surgery. Computer Guided Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery and Hip Arthroscopy. Active participation in ongoing research and audit.


Cambridge Knee, Foot and Ankle Fellowship

UK

Aims of Fellowship: To develop clinical and surgical skills in knee, foot and ankle surgery to consultant level. At the end of the fellowship the candidate will have had broad exposure to sports injuries, knee annd ankle arthroplasty, forefoot and hindfoot surgery.
